Hair loss is a common problem faced by many people all around the world. Here are major causes of hair loss and how to combat them.

From research excessive chemical treatment is the top cause of hair loss. Illnesses is also a major contributor. Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. However, this hair loss is related to the stress of the illness. Fortunately hair loss due to stress and illness is temporary.

If your thyroid gland is under active or overactive, you will suffer the problem of hair loss. This hair loss generally can be cured by treatment of the thyroid disorder. Hair loss may occur if androgens (male hormones) or estrogens (female hormones) are out of balance. Clinical treatment of hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.

Pregnant women may notice hair loss problems with in a period of about 3 months after delivery. If you lose hair while you are pregnant then you should consult a physician. Hair loss problem is also related to hormones. During pregnancy, high levels of particular hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out. When the hormones return to pre-pregnancy levels, that hair falls out and the normal growth and loss cycle starts again.

Men has many health problems and one of the most stressful is hair loss as you reach middle age. Some medicines can cause hair loss. This type of hair loss problem improves when you stop taking the medicine. Medicines that can cause hair loss include anticoagulants, medicines utilized in chemotherapy to treat cancer, medicines used for gout, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills, and antidepressants.

Certain fungal infections can cause hair loss. Generally, children may have hair loss problems caused by a fungal infection of the scalp. This type of fungal infection can be easily treated with antifungal medicines. Get a good hair loss shampoo that has anti fungal properties.

Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. Since hair loss may be an early sign of a disease, it is important to consult a doctor to detect the cause so that it can be treated at an early stage.

Good drivers pay less (insurance)

Filed under: School of Insurance, Consumer Issues @ 3:18 pm

You’re a good driver and you deserve a reward. Happily for you, most insurance companies agree that you deserve a reward and they offer good driver auto insurance quotes that can save you hundreds of dollars a year.

What is a Good Driver?

The definition of a “good driver” varies from insurance company to insurance company. It typically has to do with having no accidents or traffic violations within a specified time period, usually three years.

There are basically two ways good drivers are rewarded by insurance companies:

* A direct discount to the premium for having no accidents or traffic violations

* A surcharge system, where premiums are increased for drivers who have accidents and traffic convictions

If you believe you meet the criteria for a good driver, check with your company to make sure you are receiving the good driver discount.

Other Auto Insurance Discounts

In addition to the good driver discount, most insurance companies offer other discounts that can help you lower the price of your premium, such as:

* Auto-home discount. To get this discount, place your auto and home insurance with the same company.

* Anti-theft device discount. Install alarms, steering wheel locks, and other such devices to qualify for this discount.

* Good student discount. If you are a student who maintains a high grade point average, you may qualify for this discount.

Ask your insurance professional about these and other discounts you may be eligible for.

You can also save on your auto insurance by shopping for insurance online through a comparison website. All you do is complete a simple online application to receive multiple quotes from A-rated insurance companies.

Cheaper auto and home insurance.

Filed under: Misc Infos, Consumer Issues @ 6:50 pm

Auto and home insurance online quotes are now easier to get in a one-stop-shop directly from http://www.autoandhomeinsurance.org Requesting a quote online typically results in savings of 20 to 40 percent and it will only take a couple of minutes before you can receive quotes and results.

Several factors caused home insurance premiums to increase over the last few years including higher repair and rebuilding costs, and higher than average catastrophe losses in hurricane-prone areas, for this reason Mike Anderson the creator of http://www.autoandhomeinsurance.org felt the need to launch this new website to help bridge the gap between home owners and insurance seekers and try to keep insurance prices as low as possible whilst at the same time guaranteeing a reliable service. “Shopping for auto and home insurance is all about finding the right coverage at the right price. The easiest way to do this is to request online quotes and compare” said Mike Anderson in a comment.

When thinking about home insurance you need to insure your house, the building itself and not the land. You’ll want enough coverage so you can rebuild your dwelling in case of an accident. The website itself helps potential insurers to estimate the actual cost of rebuilding a home by providing online licensed real estate appraiser tools. On the website one may find tips to reduce your home insurance premium before you start shopping around and comparing different premiums.

The auto insurance section also covers tips to further reduce your auto insurance premium. Most states in the United States and many countries require liability coverage. This covers bodily injury and damage to property that you cause to others while using your car. One could easily save over 25% on your current auto insurance rate if you quote or buy online

Protect Yourself From Identity Theft

Identity theft has become a big headache for a lot of people. It has become a topic of discussion across all types of media Mere thought of Identity theft causes alarm bells to ring in many a mind and can result in giving the victim all kinds of emotional pain and financial trouble.

Identity theft happens in many different ways from misuse of your social security number, checks, credit cards, drivers license and so on.

Luckily, there are many easy tips you can use to protect your identity. By no means will they be completely effective. But they can make you less likely to be a random victim.

Your documents like medical bills, bank statements and so on contain a lot of personal information, therby being a top concern.

You would think in this computer-centric world, they could finally put a stop to all of these paper bills and documents and just send you everything electronically but that is not going to happen yet.

For now, you have to ensure that all such stuff is destroyed by shredding. This can be a daunting task to do by hand so an electric shredder is the best way to go. A little common sense and knowledge can go a long way in protecting you from identity theft.

You can put the shredded stuff to good use also, like bedding for pets.

There is much more to identity sensitive information than just medical documents and bank statements. Avoid keeping your checkbook, birth certificate, or social security card in your wallet or purse.

Your top most worry is checks.

Simply because so much personal information is disclosed on a check, like bank account number and routing number, and as if it was not sufficient, I have found some people to be in the habit of noting their social security number on the check as well!! DO NOT do that.

My Fave Villa holiday this year!!

This Month I have been remenising  about when I went to this stunning place in portugal. I stayed in a villa that was situated on the Algarve. The villa had a swimming pool, polite staff and a pleasent garden - it striked me as the higher end of algarve villa hire however in actual fact it was a lot cheaper than the villa we stayed in last time we went to the algarve.

With villa’s they are usually extremes, really pleasant, nice and stunning or absolutely bare essentials - its nice to find a villa with the price tag of the latter and the stuff from the aforementioned!!!
