The world of anime - well it was only so in Japan. Now in the US, and spreading rapidly throughout the world, we are seeing anime fans pop up out of the woodwork. Recently a study lasting ten years has recently been concluded at the University of California and the results are out. Dr Alyson Mitchell and her team have been comparing the nutrient content of regularly produced tomatoes with organically grown ones. They found that the organically grown tomatoes contained nearly twice as many flavonoids as their regular counterparts.

Flavonoids are antioxidants and are believed to help protect people from dementia and some types of cancer. Their main benefit is to reduce blood pressure which therefore reduces the chance of strokes or heart disease.

The flavonoids in question are kaempferol which was 97 percent higher and quercetin which was 79 percent higher in existence than with the standard tomatoes.
