Affiliate Marketing for Dummies

Affiliate marketing is a method of marketing products through affiliates, who earn a commission for each sale they provide. Affiliate marketing is connected with, and often used together with, other forms of internet marketing, including search engine marketing, pay per click advertising and email marketing. Affiliate programs use a cost per action (CPA) model, where nothing is paid for ad impressions of clicks, but actual leads and sales.

The Advertiser’s Side

Advertisers, who use affiliate marketing to get sales, often see affiliate marketing as a superior form of online marketing. The main reason for this is that affiliate marketing is completely performance driven. If one of the affiliates can provide no sales, he will not be paid anything. The advertiser only needs to pay some of the profit he makes. If done right, affiliate marketing ensures that advertising costs are always below real revenue, so every sale will make real profit.

Another benefit over other forms of marketing is that the costs to launch an affiliate marketing campaign are very low. If the advertiser wants to recruit very many affiliates, other forms of marketing may be necessary to market the affiliate program for potential affiliates. However, to launch a small campaign it may be enough to add the program to some free affiliate program directories.

The Affiliate’s Side

Mane affiliate programs are free to join, so they can easily be made profitable. Every sale from these programs is profit for the affiliate. Many programs exist, where the share of the affiliate is actually higher than 50% of the final price, so the potential to profit is huge. Some programs offer recurring payments, and can build into streams of residual income.

As compared to pay per click (PPC) advertising, affiliate programs are in many ways a better way to monetize a web site. Affiliate programs usually have no policy that forbids encouraging clicks, on the contrary: writing favorably of the product is encouraged and expected. The advertisement can also be more easily blended with content, since affiliate link are often included in articles about the topic.

Affiliate Directories

Affiliate directories act as a connection between advertisers and potential affiliates. Advertisers list their programs in the directory, and potential affiliates search the directory for affiliate programs that fit their web site theme.

There are many free directories to look into, but the most successful, and largest directories are paid, or take a commission. The most popular include ClickBank, Commission Junction, and ShareASale. These are used by thousands of advertisers and affiliates.

Newest Generation Search Engine at http://www.hotsearchlive.com/

A search engine is an informational retrieval system designed to help find information stored on a computer, such as on the web, inside a corporate or proprietary network, or in a personal computer. The search engine allows one to ask for content meeting specific criteria (typically those containing a given word or phrase) and retrieves a list of items that match those criteria. This list is often sorted with respect to some measure of relevance of the results. Search engines use regularly updated indexes to operate quickly and efficiently.

Without further qualification, search engine usually refers to a Web search engine, which searches for information on the public Web. Other kinds of search engine are enterprise search engines, which search on intranets and personal search engine. Different selection and relevance criteria may apply in different environments, or for different uses.

Some search engines also mine data available in newsgroups, databases, or open directories. Unlike web directories, which are maintained by human editors, search engines operate algorithmically or are a mixture of algorithmic and human input.

Lastly, the newest generation search engine. Built very simply, & works to provide the absolute best results. http://www.hotsearchlive.com/

How To Work Your Way Up To 50+ Sales A Day On Clickbank

Filed under: Sales Stuff, Better Marketing @ 11:08 pm

By Peter Parks

One of the biggest obstacles in Internet marketing is of course the ability to make sales.

I won’t sit here and tell you its easy.

The average websurfer is now getting extremely jaded when it comes to IM products and all the hype with the product pushes, but I will tell you that making sales everyday is not hard.

Instead of trying to make sales, look at what you’ve been doing for the last few months and ask yourself…

“how big is your list?”

or more importantly “how responsive is your list?”

You see if after all your attempts of trying to make sales and trying to figure out this IM stuff, you have to stop and say “what have you been doing with your list?”

Have you been in constant contact with your list?

have you developed a great repore with them?

Have you surveyed your list at least twice a week to get to the “nut” of
their problems? or have you just left them behind and tried to slam them
with promo after promo?

If you stop and look at what your doing, the first thing in your foundation
would be to build, cultivate, and have a responsive list to promote to.

If after all these months you should now be at the point of making steady
money, and if not then you have to say…

Your list sucks, so get rid of it or,
Your list doesn’t suck its just that you never took the time to cultivate it
and make it responsive to you.

By that I don’t mean you have to get them to buy right away, but you should have the ability to get them to respond to you and send you feedback.

I’m not talking about having 1 or 3 people send you emails because they
can’t order something or their not sure about how to get started making
money.

I’m taking about having hundreds of your subscribers flood your
inbox asking for help or asking you for your recommendations on a daily
or weekly basis on whats hot and what experience you had with product
xyz and whether its worth buying.

Thats a responsive list. Wink

When you get to that point in the process, then you know you have a list
that…

1.Actually opens and reads your emails
2. More importantly takes some form of action and is responsive.

Honestly take time to rethink your game plan. Everything starts with
building your list, if you can get them converted on the first sale then
great.

If not then continue to work on them and interact with them.

The more time you spend cultivating your list and being interactive the
more your list will warm up to you and soon you start to get the feedback
you look for, and when you get the feedback then you get the sales.

One of my mentors world class Internet Marketer Ewen Chia said to me
one time when I asked him about building my list…

“If you don’t provide great content and value to your list while at the same
time actually reviewing the products your recommending and give them
a two sided picture of the product… your toast”

Meaning that your list will see through your marketing and not only will
they not respond to you, but worse they simply won’t open your emails.

If your going to promote or recommend the product to your list, you better buy the product first and see for yourself firsthand that it works.

If it makes you money and your estactic then how easy is it for you to send your passion with your proof to your list and watch the money flow in like honey.

thats one of the real keys to Internet marketing the “Big Boys” don’t tell you about when it comes to list building.

As a successful affiliate marketer going on with 6+ years experience
I’ve taking my lumps and lost major money, I’ve made major money as
well but it came at the price of testing and rolling up my sleeves.

My biggest advice to anyone reading…

1)Build your list by cultivating and interacting with them

2) use surveys to get your list responsive, constantly ask for feedback

3) Before you promote to them, buy the damn product or try out the
service first, make some money with it then report back with your
recommendations to your list good and bad.

4)Follow a path like that and watch the money roll in because your real
and your list will respond.

Even if you don’t make a ton of cash with a product or service, if your
real with your list and tell them everything, you’d be surprised to know
how many buy with your next recommendation.

I hope anyone doesn’t take offense to the tone of this post. I truly
do want everyone to succeed.

I just get tired of seeing all the hype out there on how to make money online from people that haven’t even generated $100 themselves nevermind $1,000 and giving out poor advice.

Again no offense to anyone out here and I’m not talking about anyone
in particular in this blog just making a general statement with what
I find in many blogs.

I’m in a few mastermind groups and one of the groups I’m in collectively
between the 5 of us have made millions of dollars online and offline
and we do it in some of the silliest of niches. but more importantly we have multiple responsive list and sublist.

So believe me when I tell you, your list comes first.

If your promoting a bunch of clickbank links and not focusing on your list then your in for a long rough ride.

and by the way You don’t need big list.

Heck you can build a quick list of 600 subscribers within 2 weeks by using extremely slow methods, take the next 3 weeks to build value and ask for their feedback, survey your list at least 3 times over the period and give them great gifts for answering your survey.

Then after figuring out what they want and how much they will spend. pre sell them for another week with great content, great value and simply send them the offer that they want without even a sales page and they will buy.

Now how long did it take you to make your first $1000.00 online

Your probably wondering how I came at $1000.00 for your first offering?

NO problems you build your list of 600 double optin targeted subscribers
- you cultivated and provided great value and your list is sending you
great feedback as to what they’re having problems with.

you presell them and get them prepared for the solution you just found
that actually solves their problems, because you yourself have tested it
out and it works.

You send out your recommendation to your list giving them the full skinny

with 600 subscribers you should get at least 20% - 30% open rate on the
high end as some of my marketing partners get that with some of their
list. Some are higher so are lower.

with low end 20% open rate you should get… with a responsive list at least out of the 120 that opened the email you should get at least 45 clicking through to the offer and if you did a half decent job preselling and positioning the offer have at least 20 sales on a $97 product of which you get at least 50% commish you just made just under $1,000

Now how hard was that for just under 6 weeks work you just about made
your first $1,000 and you finally “cracked the code” to making your first
grand.

Want more money?

Now that you understand what your doing turn around and build a bigger
responsive list and/or build a new list in a new niche and/or backend your already converted buyers into purchasing bigger packages

repeat process.

I know I know, this post was a bit repetitive but I needed to drill it into
your head.

*Responsive List = Sales
*Responsive List = Sales
*Responsive List = Sales Wink

Good luck and keep plugging you’ll “crack the code for $2,500, $5,000, and $10,000+” soon

Its a rush when you get that $10K+ affiliate check Wink

By the way I’m not looking for anyone to respond to this post. Its just a little advice hope it helps.

As I’m a bit busy and not here that often please don’t take offense if I can’t get back to your comments

To your continued online success

Pete.
P.S. Sorry about the spelling and grammer I just had to get this post out Wink

Embrace Your Automaton

Many people can and have made a few dollars online or in the offline network marketing world.
However, many people do not make the really big money. It’s not that difficult, it’s about applying the two best friends you can ever have, that is the leverage known as duplication and automation.Anyone who does any form of network marketing knows all about leverage, after all that’s what building your downline is all about. Even though they know they need more people there is a tendency among many network marketers to ignore the additional leverage afforded them by duplication. In this instance duplication doesn’t just mean teaching your downline then marketing system, but it means keeping track of every effort you make, keeping track of which ones produce results and duplicating those effort as often as possible. This means getting your downline to duplicate these efforts as well.

When attempting to duplicate successful efforts you must first start by meticulously documenting your every effort. You most know which media did you use, phone, text ad, online ad, email ad, flyer or business card. Where did you use it, which newspaper, parking lot, forum or networking event. Who was your target audience old, young, male, female, affluent or not. What day of the week was it. What time was it. What was the weather like, I’m not kidding everything withing reason you can thing of applies here.

Next you need to figure out not just how many positive results you have had, but how much did each result COST you. Getting 100 positive results is not so great if it costs you $2,000 a piece and you know your lifetime payback is only going to be $500. That’s not good roi. However if you get 100 positive results and it only cost you $2.50 you should be one happy camper.

After you have done the research and figured out what works for your business you need to automate it. Automation does NOT mean spending 23.5 hours of every day with a computer screen in front of you and a headset jammed in your ear. If you spend that much time doing something it doesn’t qualify as automation in our sense. Automation is a form of leverage, it is TIME leverage.

You can get automated and leverage your time by using a PC and PC based programs to machine automate some tasks, by using pre-printed materials, sales copy that is known to work for instance instead of writing your own. You can also get automated by outsourcing to people at reasonable rate of course those things you don’t have to do personally. Don’t print out 25,000 mailers and lug them to the post office if you can find a print shop or high school student who can do this cheaply for you.

Spend your time doing the things that are most effective at getting positive results for you. In the MLM world this means those things that grow your downline. If you find what works and duplicate, then you automate yourself to free yourself from mundane tasks you will have unleashed some potent leverage. If you duplicate and automated you will have embraced the successful network marketing machine, the leverage automaton.

One last word these concepts like so many others in the marketing world are powerful, but they only work to full effect if you apply them liberally and consistently.

Working At Home - Working Outside The Home

Very few people will claim they are bringing enough money home to meet all their needs and wants. Several will begin a home business to supplement their income while remaining at the full time job outside. This can take a toll on the personal life as well as the health of just about anyone running a home business and working full time outside the home.

One of the first considerations should be is the home business in conflict with the full time job as many employers will not tolerate competition from one of their employees. For example, a person working in a retail environment in nearly any capacity may find themselves in conflict with company policies if they begin an online retail outlet. Or someone working for a carpet cleaning company starting a home business offering cleaning services part time as a home business. Being in conflict often forces the employee to make a choice of keeping their full time job or finding work elsewhere.

There are many work at home opportunities available that will not conflict with outside work environments, but the time involved in operating the home business will need to examined to determine if it can be done effectively while working full time. The business operator will only have limited availability as well as time to spend on the business and the time needed to run the business will have to be reallocated from another part of the day.

A person with a family will need to know that any time needed to run the home business will have to come from time usually used for family functions or just spending time with the wife and kids. The full time employer will not tolerate someone spending time on their home business while being paid so dividing the time between work, running the business and family may or may not be worth the extra income from a home business.

In some cases, there are work at home opportunities that require little time and enable it to be run at the convenience of the owner. With these jobs time can be arranged in which to run the business without losing time with family and friends, although sacrificing sleep or relaxation time may be necessary. Overall, there will be some sacrifice of time and personal involvement when running a business and working full time outside the home.

Time management will be essential in creating work-life balance as well as remaining organized so as not to allow important aspects of work, home business operation and family slip through the cracks. A single schedule guiding the commitments for all obligations will be needed in order to accomplish everything that needs done and to stay ahead of the work.

The Perfect Salesman

Filed under: Sales Stuff @ 5:47 pm

Finding one would be a really tall order. I was a salesman for over 30 years and so
I’m speaking from experience. I was pretty good but nowhere near perfect. I could
imagine what it would take, though. He or she would have to have certain qualities,
which I will list. Then I’ll tell you how to find one.
They should be:

(1) Very knowledgeable about the product or service.

(2) Able to explain all the features/benefits whenever consulted.

(3) Professional and believable.

(4) Loyal and trustworthy.

(5) Willing to work 24/7, 365 days a year.

(6) Able to work for a reasonable wage.

(7) Willing to compete on a level playing field for business.

(8) Capable of changing with the business demands, as needed.

(9) Able to sell without feeling stressed or worry about the process.

(10) Illness free, without missing work for sick days.

(11) Not requiring any additional benefits, like health or pension plans.

(12) Able to work without constant supervision.

(13) Available to the customer whenever they are needed.

(14) Able to present clear, concise, and reliable information.

(15) Selling without complaining about the company or conditions.

(16) Willing to stay with the company until they are no longer required.

(17) One with a proven track record of excellent service over a long period.

Imagine such a sales person that could be retained for a nominal fee and never
ask for a raise, other than to match the cost of living. Where do you begin to track
that perfect salesperson down? You already have. They actually live inside every
person’s home or office.

You know that reference directory with all the listings for local businesses in the
area: the one printed on the yellow paper? Ah, by now, you’ve guessed who they
are. Maybe you’ll appreciate one the next time you read a Yellow Page ad, the
‘perfect’ salesman.

How to generate multiple streams of revenue using Ebay and the internet.

Filed under: Sales Stuff @ 3:53 pm

Hi ,

Everybody has something to sell and almost everyone is
interested in working for themselves. This is fun, combines both
and has a very high conversion ratio. I’d love to get you set up
in the program. It’s the highest paying affiliate program I’ve
found, and my steadiest stream of income. It’s one of the oldest
business models around; you’re just referring someone and being
paid if that person “buys”. In this case all you are doing is
offering a free class that they can attend from the comfort of
their own computer, at the end of that free class they are
offered an opportunity to enroll in an advanced training
program. You’re paid $700. each time someone enrolls. There’s no
selling on your part. On average 1 in 12 who attend this free
class will enroll! And it’s not that hard to give out a free
class. This free conference gives them 2 hours of excellent info
on how to generate multiple streams of income using the Internet
with the majority of the focus on eBay. The advanced training
they offer is a 1 year program of unlimited live training
classes, live coaching from power sellers and Internet experts,
proprietary software, custom websites, product acquisition help,
ect… The company offering these free conferences, with their
large referral fees, is Online Auction Academy. We’ve been
training people for a little over 2 years and just started this
affiliate program for power sellers like you. We’ve done some
research on the almost 3000 students who’ve gone through
training and found a huge percentage were just average eBay
buyers before they got involved. Because of the amount of
auctions you have up at any given time, and the hundreds of
buyers looking at your auction descriptions, you’ve got a great
opportunity to offer this free class and collect some of those
$700. commissions. There are 2 ways you can offer this free
class. The first one is to add a line at the beginning of each
of your auction descriptions that reads something like: “ Learn
to sell like the pro’s. FREE training conference. Taught “live”
from the comfort of your own computer” To enroll please visit my
About Me page. Click Here.” On your About Me page there would be
a little more description on the free class and your “affiliate”
tracking link that will allow them to enroll in any upcoming
free conference. These are taught live 3 to 4 times each week.
The tracking cookie will stay active for 6 months and give you
the $700. credit any time that person signs up for the advanced
training. So if they click on your link but decide not to enroll
for the advanced training until 5 or 6 months down the road, you
are still given credit. This is a new program, but they already
have one power seller who added this to all his auctions, he has
about 50-75 up each week, and he has generated 5 sales in the
last 2 months. He sent me an email last week to say thanks,
“Online Auction Academy is now making almost my entire house
payment each month just for adding those lines to my auctions”
Online Auction Academy uses a 3rd party company, Kowabunga
Technologies, to oversee the affiliate program and you are
provided an admin area to check all your stats including how
many people click your link, how many sign up, sales generated,
commission due, etc. The other way you can generate some money
is from past sales. Based on your feedback rating you should
have a pretty good size email list of people you’ve done
business with. Because you have already established a business
relationship with these people you may contact them with some
info on taking that free class. A great example of this is
Cameron Dunlap. He’s an affiliate who had a list of just over
6000 contacts he had done business with and emailed them about
the free class. I’ve attached that email for you to read. That
letter, to date, has generated over 53k for Cameron(Beanie
Babies). Obviously he’s they’re top affiliate and has some great
contacts. But there’s an excellent chance your list will be very
profitable. You can sign up for this Power Seller Affiliate
program by clicking on the link below. If you have any other
questions please feel free to contact OAA directly and ask for
Mark Israel. He’s the G.M. at their training center in Reno; Nv.
Let him know that I invited you into the new affiliate program.
He’d be happy to answer any more questions you have and help you
get set up. You can reach him at 800-827-0282. These referral
fees from OAA are already my main source of income, including my
9 to 5 job. 2004 is going to be a great year! Talk to you soon.

Sincerely, Kirk Meyer Auction Resource 831 336 8526
